Terms of Service
Draft — not yet in force.
Before this is published as a real agreement
Everything in brackets must be filled in by the company operating Flyox, and the document reviewed by
a lawyer. A contract drafted by software is not a contract anyone should rely on. This draft states
plainly what the product does and does not do, which is the part worth getting right first.
1. Who you are agreeing with
Flyox is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [company type], registered at
[REGISTERED ADDRESS], India ("we"). "You" is the business whose data is in the account, acting
through the people it invites.
2. What Flyox does
Flyox reads bank statements you upload and shows you figures calculated from them: your cash balance,
how much you are spending, how long that cash lasts at the current rate, what is owed to you, and what
is due to be paid. It records invoices and scheduled payments you enter. It keeps a log of who changed
what.
3. What Flyox is not
- Not accounting software and not a book of record. It does not produce statutory
accounts, file returns, or replace your accountant or your ledger.
- Not financial, investment, tax or legal advice. The figures and suggestions are
arithmetic on the data you gave it. Decisions based on them are yours.
- Not connected to your bank. Flyox never moves money, never initiates a payment,
and holds no banking credentials. Data arrives only when a person uploads a file.
- Not a guarantee of accuracy. Every figure is only as good as the statements you
upload. Flyox shows what it read, flags what it could not read, and tells you when its data is old —
it cannot know about money it has not been shown.
4. Your account
- You are responsible for who you invite and what role you give them. A founder can see and change
everything; an investor can see only headline figures.
- You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us immediately if you think
someone else has used your account.
- You must have the right to upload the statements and other data you upload, and to have us process
it on your behalf.
5. Your data stays yours
Everything you upload or enter remains yours. We process it to run the service for you and for nothing
else — see the privacy policy. You can export your transactions and a financial
summary at any time from inside the product.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use Flyox to:
- upload data you have no right to, or someone else's financial records without their authority;
- attempt to reach another business's data, or to bypass the role restrictions;
- probe, load-test or attack the service, except under a written testing agreement with us;
- resell the service or present its output as a regulated financial statement.
7. Availability
The service is provided as it is, without a guaranteed uptime commitment unless one is agreed in
writing. We may take it down for maintenance and will avoid doing so without notice where we can.
[COMPLETE: commercial terms]
Pricing, billing cycle, taxes (GST), refunds, notice periods for termination, what happens to data
after termination, support commitments, any uptime commitment, limitation of liability, indemnities,
governing law and the courts with jurisdiction. These are business decisions, not software details.
8. Ending the agreement
You may stop using Flyox at any time. Export what you need first. What happens to your data afterwards
is set out in the privacy policy, which must state a retention period before
launch.
9. Changes to these terms
We will tell you before a change that materially affects you takes effect.
